A new travel show on a new medium: watch the demo

A podcast is a series of shows broadcast on the internet. Subscriptions are free.

The show is meant to be downloaded to an iPod or other personal player by plugging the device into a computer, often at night, allowing the device to recharge while the most current episode of a favorite show is automatically downloaded for viewing later at the subscriber's convenience.

Some popular podcasts are primetime TV shows and NPR radio shows.

A technology used to pull digital audio files from web sites to place them on individual computers, MP3 players and other devices, allowing the user to listen whenever they choose. Podcasting advertising usually comprises of an organization/product logo on the podcast web site and audio plugs before, during, and after the podcast.

How do I watch a podcast?

To subscribe to a podcast on the iTunes store web site, you need to download the free iTunes software.

To watch one episode, you can use a media player such Windows Media Player or RealPlayer (often included with Windows software) or Quicktime (first choice for Mac users). iTunes podcasts are often optimized for viewing in Quicktime.
